Hair Oil Benefits

Castor Oil - Its antibacterial and antifungal properties make it beneficial against folliculitis, (this inflammation of the hair follicles), dandruff, and scalp infections and its ricinoleic acid content helps increase circulation to the scalp and improve hair growth.

Jojoba oil  - Jojoba is rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish hair, including vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, copper, and zinc. Because it strengthens hair, it is also thought that jojoba oil can prevent hair loss and promote hair thickness.

Argan oil - Argan oil is an age-old beauty secret that has many uses, helping to hydrate and soften your hair. With its high content of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamin E, the benefits of argan oil naturally help increase hair's elasticity and consistently restore shine to dull, lifeless hair.

Macadamia oil - The fatty acid content is the real winner for skin and hair. Those fatty acids help to add shine, strengthen, and nourish the hair follicles, which in turn fight off hair loss and brittle strands. Macadamia oil is great for calming the hair of frizz, tangles, and dullness.

Grapeseed oil - Grape seed oil is ideal for moisturizing and conditioning dry hair because it is lighter than olive oil or coconut oil and won't leave your hair feeling greasy. It is also odorless, so it won't leave a lingering scent. Grape seed oil helps to lock in moisture and prevent frizz, split ends, and brittle hair.

Olive oil - Olive oil promotes moisturized and healthy scalp, fights infections caused due to bacteria and improves the blood circulation in your scalp. A better scalp blood circulation makes your hair follicles stronger thereby helping to produce hair strands that are softer, healthy and thicker.

Coconut oil - promotes the scalp health, fighting against such problems as lice and dandruff.  It helps moisturizes dry hair, it also adds luster, shine and softness to the hair.
Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributing to hair length.

Rapeseed oil - The unsaturated fatty acids possess strong moisturizing properties, which seem to coat the hair better than other oils. It is light and penetrates the scalp and shaft. With its excellent ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fats it is considered to possess anti-inflammatory effects, which help to soothe an irritated scalp.

Essential oils

Peppermint - It also has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, which help to cool the scalp, eliminate dandruff and fight lice. It is used in hair products to relieve a dry scalp, stimulate hair growth, and give hair a healthy shine.

Rosemary oil - Beyond stimulating hair growth, rosemary essential oil is used to prevent premature graying and dandruff. It may also help dry or itchy scalp.

Millie's Hair oil Products contain all the relevant oils used to provide nourishment, for hair growth and length retention.  Leaving your hair more manageable, shiny and soft.

Folliculitis is a common skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed.  It's usually caused by a bacterial or fungal infection.  At first it may look like small red bumps or white-headed pimples around hair follicles - the tiny pockets from which each hair grows.

Ricinoleic Acid - Sourced from the castor bean (Ricinus communis), castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid - a type of fatty acid found to fight inflammation.  When applied to the scalp, it's reported to enhance the health of the hair follicles and in turn promote hair growth (as well as protect against hair loss).
